Meet John Perdue
John Perdue knows first-hand that hard work, determination and a good education will always lead to a better future. As a proud public servant, Perdue is determined to make sure every West Virginian has the same opportunities he did growing up in Boone County.
Early in his career, Perdue worked his way through the ranks of the Department of Agriculture before being recruited to serve as a special assistant to former Governor Gaston Caperton. During his years with Governor Caperton, Perdue led the office’s legislative team, working with lawmakers to pass historic education reform and other impactful legislation.
Now, as one of the state’s most popular and successful state treasurers, he is committed to maintaining the financial integrity of the office and providing quality services to the people of West Virginia.
Perdue is a graduate of West Virginia University and lives in Kanawha County with his wife, Robin.
